Twisting its way between Victorian-era and 1970s buildings, a new pedestrian bridge by WilkinsonEyre and Speirs + Major spans the years and a busy Toronto street with a graceful thrust.
After the London 2012 Summer Olympics, lighting design firms Speirs + Major and Michael Grubb Studio worked with landscape architect James Corner Field Operations to transform what had been an open concourse in the Olympic Park into a 1,600-foot-long promenade.
The London- and Edinburgh-based lighting design firm Speirs and Major Associates’ portfolio boasts a gamut of neon-hued urban landmarks, ranging from the Bridge of Aspiration in London to developments in Dubai.
